I hope you have enjoyed the magazine under my tenure and will welcome back Hugh Morrison from his sabbatical. Vivien Macdona, Communications Assistant, has now left for pastures new, as her six month contract ended on 16 July. An apology is due for the misrepresentation of Wales in the Regional map printed on page three of the previous issue. The green line had not taken in the whole of North Wales resulting in a few counties being credited to England. Further to Paul Travis' article, also in the previous magazine, a mention must be given to www. understanding conservation. org which is recommended as a reference source for further reading on conservation. Don't forget that as part of the Institute's Specialist Registers, there is the Accredited Conservation scheme and full details can be found on our website. The Institute had a successful exhibition at Greenbuild Expo held in Manchester at the start of May. Seminar talks given by our members were well received and it was once again an excellent opportunity to promote the Institute, the discipline and you, the members. I am pleased to include in this issue a case study regarding the passive house, which follows the two part article by Steff Bell ACIAT in previous issues. I hope that this has been an interesting feature. I now hand you back to Hugh.
