9>>Cradle to Cradle® is based upon an alternative way of thinking in design and production. The current generation not only fulfils its own needs but at the same time provides future generations with more opportunities. Cradle to Cradle® goes further than some traditional outlooks on sustainability, which primarily focus upon making a product less harmful (cleaner, more economical, reusing as much as possible), by deliberately intending to implement positive benefits. However, that can only work if we separate the biological (biodegradable components) and technical cycles (metals, thinners, etc.) because technical materials damage biological processes unless they can be separated. If waste is to become food, both should be reprocessed in their own cycles.
