Our range of Mixer, Electric and Power Showers offers you an outstanding choice of beautifully designed and superbly engineered styles to bring you all you need for a complete showering solution.Mixer ShowersThese connect to the hot and cold water supplies and then mix the water inside the shower to your selected temperature. Mixer showers normally deliver a higher flow rate than electric showers. Ideal for homes with readily available hot water. You can also add a pump if required to boost the flow from a gravity fed system.Electric ShowersThese connect to the cold water mains supply. A heating element inside the unit heats up the water as it passes through. It doesn't rely on stored water and provides instant hot water at any time.Power ShowersThese work in the same way as a mixer shower, they connect to the hot and cold water supplies and then mix the water inside the shower. They also have the added benefit of an integral pump to boost the flow rate giving a powerful flow.Digital ShowersThese offer an unbeatable combination of state of the art technology, stylish choices, freedom and ease of installation and are available in either mixer or electric variations. The wireless models offer more design freedom whilst the remote range is connected to the control unit by a completely hidden wire.Water SystemsThere are a few different types of water systems in homes in the UK, we can usually make some assumptions about the sort of water pressure each will give.Gravity Fed SystemThis is usually a tank in the loft space or inside an airing cupboard. A basic guide to establish how much pressure it will deliver is how high the tank is above the tap or shower. If the tank is 2 metres above the level of the tap or shower, the water pressure will be 0.2 bar. If it is 5 metres, the water pressure will be 0.5 bar. Generally this type of system is low pressure however you can increase the pressure by installing a pump. It is recommended to seek advice from a qualified engineer or manufacturer before choosing your pump as these vary in performance.Combination BoilersThese are high pressure systems and are usually set to operate between 0.8 to 1.5 bar, minimum and maximum pressure can be checked with the manufacturer however most boilers have a gauge to show what pressure it is operating at. Combination boilers have an integrated pump so if the water pressure is too low for your required application, adding another pump can damage the boiler.Sealed/Unvented SystemsThese are modern systems, if you have a hot water tank but you don't have a cold water tank (cistern) in your loft or garage, this is an unvented high pressure system. They are quite uncommon as they are more expensive however they can usually deliver around 3.0 bar of water pressure.On the following pages, each shower shows the water pressures they are compatible with to ensure you choose the right one for your home.150
