Care for your laundry. And care for the environment.Energy saving comes automatically. The new Siemens washing machines are extremely energy efficient. In fact, using as little as 0.13 kWh/kg, they are rated at the very top of the European Energy Rating scheme. Our new i-Dos washing machine eliminates overdosing, cuts longer wash cycles and reduces unnecessary extra rinsing. This not only saves up to 7,062 litres of water a year, it also saves up to 11 litres of detergent per year and cuts down average cycle times by 14 minutes, amounting to a saving of two full days per year in machine running time. All Siemens washing machines automatically adapt the wash time and the energy consumption to the amount of laundry. Sensors weigh the laundry in the drum and the smaller the wash load, the less energy and water are used. Some models even recommend the appropriate detergent dosage based on the load - just enough for a perfect wash and no more - and the sensor-controlled rinse process keeps energy and water use to a minimum. If everyone living in the UK switched their current washing machine to an A+++ rated Siemens appliance, we would save enough CO2 to fill more than half a million Olympic-sized swimming pools! The world's most effi cient tumble dryer is a Siemens. Our most energy efficient tumble dryer is an energy-saving world champion. The dryer uses up to 50% less energy than the permitted limit for a European Class A appliance, consumes only half as much electricity as conventional Class B appliances and requires up to 20% less energy than other heat pump dryers on the market. But what makes it unique, right across the world, is that it stays that way for its entire working life.67

The EU energy effi ciency class. All washing machines and tumble dryers, regardless of manufacturer, carry an EU energy label. The label categorises the appliance according to its energy efficiency. For 2011 a new washing machine categorisation, from A+++ to D, is being introduced. All our and washing machines will be rated as A+++, at the very top of the new 2011 EU classification. Our and washing machines are still rated under the pre-2011 EU classification and still score very highly - at A less 20% (20% more efficient than A rated).* To help you spot the real energy-saving champions, the most energy efficient appliances in our range also carry a Siemens Silver or Gold Energy Efficiency Award logo.Similarly, tumble dryers with a Class B energy rating carry the silver award, while our world-beating A-rated model easily qualifies for the gold.* All iQ300 ad iQ100 washing machines will be classified underthe new 2011 EU Energy rating label from September 2011.
